DIY Flowerpot

Bringing another DIY to the blog today! I’ve been massively obsessed with faces on things lately (strange?) and so I decided I would try to make my own little pot! I used a regular Terra Cotta pot that’s only 78¢ from Lowe’s and about the same at Walmart. They’re the best type of pots to use for house plants because the water is partially absorbed by the pot and is also able to drain. I’m going to explain all the details and steps below!

  1. Choose the plant and spray paint color you wish to use. I chose this plant that sort of resembles hair so it goes with the pot well. I had this bubble gum colored spray paint left over from my Raskog cart and thought it would tie my room together well.

2. Find a cup or other item that is smaller than the mouth of the pot, cover it in newspaper or craft paper, then place pot over it and spray paint.

ATTN: Do this outside to avoid the smell and also so the paint doesn’t get all over your house.

3. Find a face cup/pot that you want to base your face off of. I actually have this adorable cup from Target {link} and based it off of this!

4. Get a sharpie in the color you want the face to be.

5. Draw a face on the pot.
