Seven of My February Favorites

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I decided against doing a mid-week post this week because I just wasn’t feeling that inspired. I am back though to give you my February favorites since it’s literally March next week (whaaaat!).

These are seven items that I just have been loving this month! These include clothing, home items, as well as books and shows I’m loving.  I’m going to list all the shoppable links together at the bottom so if you miss the links in the body of the post you’ll have another chance to click. Hope y’all enjoy and happy shopping!

1.Cheetah Print Espadrilles

I chose these adorable shoes as the first product because they’re just so dang comfortable! I ordered these from Target a few weeks ago and have worn them at least 10 times already. I used to be an espadrille hater but I now have two other pairs of sneakers in my closet. I adore these because the pattern is subtle enough to be mixed with other ones (which I do very often). They’re cute and affordable clocking in at just under $25!

2. Primula French Press

I had been wanting a french press for a while but I finally caved and got one! Of course, this is also from Target (shocker) but it had so many great reviews whereas some from Amazon did not. Since the water has to be so hot when poured into the french press, the glass has to be very strong.

Many Amazon models had reviews stating how the glass immediately broke so I avoided those models. This one from Primula though is perfect! I’ve used it three times so far and have had no issues whatsoever. It also makes some bomb coffee. This item is also under $25 as well!

3. Denim Overalls

The third item in my list of favorites is these denim overalls from H&M! They’re also the pair that’s in my featured photo for this post. I wanted some from Madewell soo badly but since I cannot afford to spend $128 (yes, really) on overalls, these dupes are the perfect substitute!

I originally ordered a size 10 because that’s generally my size in tops but I was drowning in them. According to H&M’s online size chart, I’m a size 6; however, they were sold out so I ordered a size 4 and hoped for the best! THEY FIT PERFECTLY with even a little bit of room. If you order these I definitely recommend sizing down a size or two! These were also super affordable at $39.99 but I got them on sale for $24.99!

4. Pleated Cuff Blouse

You might recognize this blouse from my post on Thursday but I am LIVING for this color. I love mustard yellow and my boyfriend says he loves how it looks on me (bonus!). This top from LOFT is such a change from just a normal blouse because of the cuff on the sleeve! Pleats are most definitely my thing.

I usually am an XS in blouses from LOFT but I went up a size to a S and it still fits great! I styled this with a similar pair of jeans and my cognac colored shoes from Target. I’ll link the Instagram post (here). This top is great for the spring and it’s also affordable! Normally it’s around $50 but right now it’s on sale for just $29.70!!

5. Corduroy Overalls

I have been loving overalls and pinafore dresses lately and this blush pink corduroy one from SheInside is no excuse! It’s chic and it’s a garment that can switch from season to season well. This is super affordable at just $10!! Sizing from sites such as this one are always a little iffy, but honestly if you read reviews on them and see how they fit other people you’ll have no issues.

I’ve personally had less issues ordering from SheInside than I have with some American stores! The good thing is also that their shipping time is insanely faster than last year. It used to legitimately take a month for an order to arrive but now it takes less than two weeks! For this dress I purchased a size small based on reviews and I am confident it’ll fit!

6. A Wrinkle In Time

A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L’Engle is a title you’ve probably heard about a lot lately. The movie is coming out on March 9th and I couldn’t be more excited for this! This is the second book I have read in 2018 and it’s actually one I’ve read before. I was in gifted literature classes in middle school so they let us pick what books to read; this was one of them! I remember the magic of it all was so enthralling and I still feel the same way today!

Pick a copy up at Barnes and Noble for just $4.99 and read it before the movie comes out in a couple weeks. The best part about this? It’s a trilogy! That means if you like the first one as much as I do you’ll be able to keep going with the magic.

7. Blackish

Blackish is an ABC original series that is currently my favorite show. I started it a week or so ago and I’m almost finished watching all the episodes on Hulu. It’s literally the definition of comedy and deals with the real issues in the world! I highly suggest it.

(*semi-spoiler* but not really) Probably my favorite episode deals with the mom in the show, Bo, and how mixed people struggle to decide what race they are because society often makes us choose between the two (or more) that we are. I remember everyone else struggling with the cursive writing consent form at the beginning of the SAT and I was sitting there trying to decide if I was white or black that day (whew, that got a little deep).

ANYWAYS it’s a funny awesome show you should definitely watch it!
