How to Remove the Background of Photos Using Only Microsoft Powerpoint

Are you a newbie blogger or just somebody who loves to make photo sets but can’t afford to purchase (or don’t want to purchase) Adobe Photoshop? Well here’s how you can remove the background of photos using Microsoft Powerpoint!

I recently discovered this SUPER EASY method and I haven’t gone back since! I was super bummed when Polyvore shut down and wasn’t sure how I could make compilation posts anymore without purchasing Adobe Photoshop. This way is very simple and will only take a few minutes!

1. Open Powerpoint:

2. Delete the text boxes:

3. Add a photo into the document (Easiest way is to just drag the photo into Powerpoint):

4. Go to “Picture Format” at the top of the page and click it:

5. Click on “Color”:

6. Click on “Set Transparent Color” :

7. You’ll see the mouse change to a little wand and use it to click the background of the photo.

And there yah have it! Some shadows don’t remove always but the overall background will disappear! It’s so easy and simple to use. I will definitely be using this for my round-ups!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it helps you with blogging or just photo sets in general!
