My Capsule Collection With Inspired Boutique

Hi friends! Today I have it something is so exciting to share with you. I have partnered with Inspired Boutique and have created my own little CAPSULE COLLECTION with them! I was so excited to finally share this news with you guys. I’ve been working on this since the third week in September, so it’s been a long time coming! I worked soo hard when it came to picking out items for this collection and I even made a mood board (which I’m gonna share below).

I want to walk you guys through how I picked everything out and why I went with this color scheme that I did! Then I’m going to share some of the outfits. Lauren was so sweet to ask me to do this, so I just wanted to thank her at the beginning of this post! As a Fashion Merchandising major, this has been my dream since I was like twelve. I always wanted to be a designer, but then I ended up shifting more into fashion merchandising and corporate retail!

If you want to shop this post, everything is actually linked through my LIKEtoKNOW.it! You can buy everything from the Inspired Boutique website as well. I’m gonna link everything for you to shop in this post, but I’m also going to just leave her website linked (here) in case you want to buy anything else!

Capsule Collection Mood Board

Below is my capsule collection mood board! When working through choosing items, I knew I wanted to choose items with my favorite colors in them. Those include: navy, blush pink, mustard yellow, light brown, and PATTERNS! I created charts like this for some of my fashion classes, so I was already in the mindset of making one. It really helps to just gather your thoughts and make sure a collection will mesh well!

Once I went to go in and check the delivery/ship dates, I realized some of the items weren’t going to be available to ship until the end of October so those were OUT. It was a little disappointing, but honestly the collection turned out just how I wanted anyway! You can shop the entire collection below this image:

Colorblocked Chenille Sweater

The first item that I wanted to share is this colorblocked sweater! The reason that I chose this was because I love a mock neck. I also love any type of chenille sweater! Chenille is such a cozy fabric to wear for the wintertime because it’s soft and just makes you feel really hygge. I decided to pair this cute little sweater with a pair of jeans! I got these from Amazon and they’re the Goodthreads brand.

I really love them because they’re high waisted and they have the multi-button detail which I really like (especially during the fall). I also added a pair of cute little blush shoes! These are actually a part of the capsule collection as well and I think they’re so sophisticated. I love a block heel and I feel as if these shoes can go from season to season very easily!

For my accessories, I then ended up just throwing on a little bowler bag! I felt like the deep blue really matched like the grayish blue on the back of the sweater. I was really excited to add this bag to my look and create the perfect fall ensemble!

Plaid V-Neck Jumpsuit

The second item that I wanted to share is this really cute jumpsuit! I’ve always loved jumpsuits because I feel like they’re such an easy thing to just throw on. You don’t have to look for too many other items, and it’s just a really great way to look put together! When I found this plaid one while searching for capsule pieces, I was thrilled because I love a V-neck and anything with patch pockets.

I found this really cute little top from a new online store called Love, Bonito! It’s a cute little website and I’ve loved finding some classic pieces from there and styling them with other items! I feel like these two items just worked so well together. I paired my look with these brown suede black heels! These are the other shoes that are a part of my collection.

I thought these were so adorable and they’re also massively comfortable. I feel like a stretchy heel strap makes it easy for anyone to wear! To finish off this look, I just grabbed a subtle brown crossbody bag that I got from Amazon. It’s a closet staple and just such a great piece to add!

Blush Pink Block Heels

I now wanted to share the first pair of shoes that I purchased for this collection! I knew I wanted something that was blush pink and that would match with multiple items. I love the fact that this almost nude pair of heels works with any item that you decide to purchase! When styling these for my post, I really wanted to pair it with the first colorblocked sweater! The sleeves match the pink almost perfectly.

I also love the fact that they’re a little bit pointed so they look like a heeled mule! Heeled mules are something that I just absolutely love wearing year round. I’ve loved styling them for the past few falls and I think they’re perfect to carry into this next one! If you seem to always be on the go, then these are the shoes for you. They’re quick to just throw on with any outfit!

Striped Balloon Sleeve Sweater

Shop the Look

The next item I wanted to share is this really cute striped sweater! I actually paired this with a skirt that I made with fabric from Hobby Lobby a few years ago. Every time I wear the skirt you guys rave about it! I adore this sweater because I feel like it’s giving really strong Free People vibes. It looks so high end, but you’re getting it at such a good price point that I think it’s definitely worth adding to your closet!

If you know anything about me, I love pink and I love stripes. Of COURSE I had to add something with both of those into the collection! I really love how this outfit turned out. Just an FYI –  It is a little bit long! It’s like a tunic style almost, so if you prefer longer sweaters, then this is perfect for you! You can easily wear leggings underneath it.

Brown Faux Suede Block Heels

The second pair of shoes that I purchased for this collection were these really cute brown suede block heels! I love a pointed toe and these are everything that I wanted in a shoe and more! Sometimes a stretchy strap can be a little irritating on your ankle, but these are so comfortable. When I wore these walking around and shooting the outfit, they didn’t hurt once!

I had no pinched toes, blisters, or anything of the sort. These are seriously the most comfortable shoes ever and they’re massively cute too! I wanted to style these with the plaid jumpsuit because I feel like they matched perfectly with it. That said, these can literally be worn with any item in that collection because they’re just so versatile!

Striped Mock Neck Sweater

Shop the Look

This striped mock neck sweater is the last item from my capsule collection that I want to share! I actually decided to purchase the sweater because I saw a similar one on a website that I really loved a few seasons ago. I just think it’s so cute and it’s great for the fall and wintertime! I love this shade of brown because it’s muted and almost looks like a dark mustard yellow.

That was one thing I wanted to carry through this collection, and that helped it be able to tie in with the jumpsuit too! It also looks great with the brown or pink shoes because it has pink stripes as well. I chose to add another mock neck top because I like having my neck stay warm when it’s cooler, but feel like turtlenecks are choking me!

I wasn’t sure what to style this with at first, and then I found this pink skirt from Banana Republic (that I actually found at Goodwill for $3.75 a few years ago) and I literally love it with everything I pair it with! I’ve been added a taupe saddle bag and paired it with some neutral colorblocked espadrilles that I feel like tie the entire look together!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I had literally so much fun creating this capsule collection for Inspired Boutique and I can’t even believe this is a real thing that happened. I hope you guys are excited about this collection because I know I am! I’ll be posting some of the outfits on my Instagram through the next couple of weeks and I hope you end up finding something you love.

Everything is super affordable and under $50 so if you’re tight on a budget, then just get one piece! If you have a little bit extra to spend, then grab a couple items in your budget.
