Hello everyone! I knew that since I have my first adult apartment that I FINALLY wanted to set it up with the holiday decor of my dreams! Now to be clear, I love the traditional Halloween decor items of orange, yellow, and black. They just aren’t really my style most of the time! I really love everything to be bright and cozy.
This post is my recap of all of my chic pastel decor with some of those classic Halloween/fall decor items thrown in! I am going to list them for you to shop as well. That way you can match me and have the cozy home of YOUR dreams too! Almost everything I bought was from Walmart, Target, and Dollar General so it can fit in any budget. It’s discount fall decor, but doesn’t look like it!

Living Room Table Centerpiece
The thing that really ties together a fall room is a centerpiece! That’s what I believe anyways. I knew I wanted to make something that felt a little like farmhouse decor, but with my own twist to it! This portion of my room actually has a DIY in it as well which I’m excited to share with you guys.
So these are the flowers and leaves from my Dollar General Instagram post (here), but with a twist! After I took that photo, I knew I wanted to try and match the theme of my room a little better than they did. I decided to grab my can of gold spray paint and give them a little makeover!
I used this paint to upgrade a few items in my apartment and I have a post coming on that later. It’s a really cheap (like $3 cheap) and easy way to upgrade a space AND make it look more cohesive. I just put these faux leaves/flowers on a piece of cardboard, spray painted them, let them dry for an hour, and there yah have it!
These cute pastel pumpkins I actually found in the Target Dollar Spot. The large pink one was only $3 and the smaller ones were just $1! They match the aesthetic of my room PERFECTLY and you can see from this photo that they even match the colors of my rug to a tee. I couldn’t have been happier to find them.
My tv stand area also got a spooky upgrade! This snake plant next to my tv stand has been my favorite since I bought her. I really love the idea of keeping plants in chic, boho baskets, so that’s why I wanted to find one! This one was very affordable on Amazon and my little plant baby was just $9 at Home Depot.
She’s been going strong for a few months now and doesn’t require much water or sunlight at all. I also wanted to show this view so you can see how I set up my pumpkins! I have two pumpkins (a medium and small one) on the right side and a larger one with succulents in it on the left side!
My tv stand is perfect for me because my sofa is also kind of short. Everything is at a perfect height which is great for spooky movies for the holidays! This one was less than $100 on Amazon and easy enough to build that I was capable enough to build it myself. It also took me less time than the Mulan movie to put together (I needed to feel empowered while building furniture).
Here is a close up of the right side of my tv stand! You can get a different view of my snake plant from this angle and honestly I just wanted to show her off again. You’ll also see my copy of Cravings by Chrissy Tiegen because she is actually me personified. I also want to try some of her cozy meals for the holidays!
The pumpkins that I have on my tv stand are the perfect choices for me. The little striped one is real and I got in a 3-pack from Walmart for like $4. I love mixing in real elements with the fake ones because it makes everything feel just a little more homey! These few do just the trick.
My small yellow pumpkin is the first of three that I found at Target in the Dollar Spot! If you are looking for affordable fall decor, you literally can’t do better than this. They had a bunch of other Halloween items too with multiple colors and designs! They have everything from game day, to Halloween, to just fall in general.
Jack-o-Lantern Flower Pot
Okay so I went to Home Depot to buy paint to finish up my apartment and ended up buying this too (oops). This little Jack-o-Lantern is a FLOWER POT! I love plants if you didn’t already know so this made my entire life. The universe definitely spoke to me with this one because I literally was like “how do I make green plants more Halloween like?”
When I saw this I expected it to be like $20-$30 since it has so many plants in it. It was only $15! This was honestly how I was able to justify the purchase so I was really happy about the price. I love that the pot is a more muted shade of orange as well! It really ties well into my pastel theme for the fall.
Basic Side Table
My side table is one of my favorite things that I bought for my apartment! It was only $15 on Amazon and took virtually 10 minutes to put together with just one screwdriver. I found this cute little photo frame for it at Target on sale for only about $5! It was a part of their Opalhouse collection which I have loved from the beginning.
The fall aspects of this little side table are perfect too! I went to Home Goods to find some of my fall finds and in my trip I found this little “Spooky” candle that’s by Rae Dunn. I am not a southern mother, but her stuff is super cute to me. It fits my space perfectly and smells SO MUCH LIKE FALL *insert heart eye emoji*!!
I found this little pumpkin with the one above at Walmart! It was only $5 for a set of three little gourds and they work will my space very well. I love how the green in it matches my photo frame and my rug which you’ll see a little bit in the next photo! I love matching colors if you couldn’t already tell.
The blue pumpkin is another that I found in the Dollar Spot at Target! Target always has the cutest items there during the holiday season and I couldn’t love them more. It was just $3 and I bought it in this blue and the pink and yellow you saw above. They also had a few other options, but these were my favorites.
Up Close Details of Living Room + Pillows
Below is a wider shot of my entire living room! You can see the up close details in this shot of my living room table better. I didn’t mention this above, but I loved this gingham table runner. I found this cute little one at Walmart for just $12! I was happy because it matched my pumpkin pillow PERFECTLY.
I had an up close photo of my pillows, but it formatted weirdly. I figured I’d just talk about them here! The pink pillow is actually one that I found at Final Cut in Augusta. It’s where all the Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People samples/overstocked items go to find a new life! My pillow ended up only being $15 which is an insane deal.
My blue pillow is another that I’ve had for a few months that just so happened to work perfectly in my room! I wanted a round pillow like this but didn’t want to spend a trillion dollars. I found this at Ross for literally only $12. Another awesome deal that makes my home feel more cozy for the fall.
The last pillow you see featured is this little gingham pumpkin! He’s definitely supposed to be floor/porch decor, but he’s soft and I actually loved how he worked best chillin on my sofa! These three pillows tie in so well with the rest of my fall decor and I didn’t even plan it this way. Everything matches back somewhere and I love that!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I love the fall soo much and had a great time decorating my apartment on a budget. These tips and places to shop are my favorites and are my go-tos for most things! If you needed some inspo for this season then you definitely have it now.
