Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Or, if you prefer, Galentine’s Day. One is obviously more important than the other (celebrating your Gals, DUH)! I do have a boyfriend, but I sadly won’t be able to see him for Valentine’s Day or our two year anniversary next month. That being said, I LOVEEEE mixing pinks and reds.
I thought I would style some cute and different looks for Valentine’s Day and I hope that you guys love them as much as I do! They’re all very different styles and maybe not what you would normally expect. I rounded up four different looks and I hope you guys like them enough to maybe try one yourself!
I’m going to show all four outfits and then link items that you can shop from below the photos! I haven’t done an outfit linking post in a while so I’m excited. I’ll also be rounding up some cute, chic, and affordable Valentine’s Day gift ideas (or fun trinkets for yourself) on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page that you can find (here)! Shop my other outfits below.
Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas
1. Red Pom-Pom Heart Sweater + Pink Pleated Skirt
The first look is the one featured in my cover photo! I am so in love with this outfit. If you were following me back then, I actually had a pretty similar outfit last Valentine’s Day and even wore the same skirt. Just call me an #OutfitRepeater I guess!
My cute sweater is one that my bff Amber got me for Christmas! You know you have blogging friends when she even suggested this for a Valentine’s Day related post. We know each other well. It’s from Forever 21 and even has CUTE POM POM HEARTS. What could be better?
My skirt is from Banana Republic and y’all might be sick of it by now but I just love it so much. I actually ended up discovering this at Goodwill one day in MINT condition for only $3.75! I’ve worn it all the time since.
These shoes are some that I know you guys love. They’re my favs from J.Crew and I also got a great deal on them. When I found them they were only $40 marked down from almost $300 last spring! My clutch is also pink and has a little pom-pom on it like my sweater! I’m lucky enough to have an amazing aunt who got this for me as a Birthday/Christmas present!
2. Mas Amor, Por Favor Tee + Red Satin Midi Skirt
This next outfit is another great option for Valentine’s Day! It’s more of a business casual work wear option, but cute nonetheless. I found almost this WHOLE look at Target y’all. You know that place is my weakness!
I love the quote “Mas Amor, Por Favor” because it translates to “More Love, Please“. That’s something I feel like we all need to do around Valentine’s Day (and all the time tbh)! Don’t think of the holiday as a “couple” holiday, think of it as a day to celebrate others and SHARE LOVE!
This skirt was from their Prologue collection and it also comes in a navy and a black as well! I’ll link all three below. It’s so comfortable and the waist band doesn’t squeeze you. That’s something I’m always wary about when it comes to higher waisted skirts!
When it comes to accessories, my tote bag is from Nordstrom. I got it during the Anniversary Sale in August! My hat and shoes are also both from Target and they’re very chic staples. Crazy enough my hat was actually just $5 in the dollar spot, but my shoes are still in stock and under $25!
3. Orange Overall Dress + Pink Ruffle Sleeve Top
Okay maybe THIS is my favorite look of this post. I don’t know I can’t choose! I’m in love with the combination of pink and orange too. They really complement each other well! In this case, I couldn’t have been happier with the result of this look.
My orange overall dress is one that was gifted to me from Entourage Boutique! I did a collaboration with them in December and and I styled this dress and two other items in their own post (here). Since it’s an overall dress, I was scared it wouldn’t fit well, but it fit me perfectly!
My blouse is one that I received while partnering with Banana Republic Factory in December as well! This collaboration was set up by my friend with her store in Pooler and it was such a great time. I loved the pink color of this top (of course) and the ruffle sleeve made it even better!
For my accessories, this is the same panama hat from the shot above! It’s comfortable yet lightweight which makes it great for wearing all over. The boots pictured are Steve Madden patent leather and I died when I saw them. They’re from DSW! My lovely friend Amber also got the sunglasses I’m wearing in this and I feel so happy when I wear them.
4. Red Tie-Waist Midi Dress + Tan Trench Vest
This last look was one I was hoping would come together well! I was originally scared that it would look too bulky and oversized, but that didn’t happen at all! I was so thankful. I’ve worn this dress a bunch before this and I love it.
My dress is from LOFT and I knew I needed it when I purchased it! I am in love with anything of a midi length (which is crazy because I used to think it was only for grandmas). This dress is no exception! It also has a tie waist which is flattering on a ton of different body shapes.
My trench vest is another piece that I knew I needed to invest in. Target is my favorite place, as you know. This trench vest was a staple I wanted in my closet. You’re able to wear this with almost any outfit, whether jeans or a dress.
For my accessories, I chose to pair my look with these tortoiseshell glasses from MVMT! I was gifted them for a collaboration a couple months back and I love how they fit. When it came to shoes, I knew that my leopard print mules would be the perfect way to finish off the entire ensemble! They’re massively comfortable and very chic.
I think when all is said and done, the one take away from this post is that I don’t enjoy wearing pants. Okay slightly kidding, but I realized all of these looks have skirts or dresses I’m sorry. I prefer them because skirts give me air flow to my legs (weird? oops).
