Hi friends! Today I am so excited to share a post that I have been working on for weeks. I have wanted a bar cart for a little over a year, but never bit the bullet and invested in one! I finally decided this was something I wanted to curate and my photographer, Hannah Lozano, captured it in the most gorgeous way! In this post I’m going to share my Gold Bar Cart With Wine Rack Reveal and I hope you’re excited.
If you know me, you know that I’m pretty particular when it comes to the alcohol I drink! I’m not a “drinking to get drunk” type of gal, but more so I’ll drink if I like the flavor! I know there are other people like this too, and so this is a unique bar cart! I have a coffee theme on the top (what I drink more often), and a wine/alcohol theme on the bottom! This was deliberate and I LOVE how it turned out!
Creating a Modern Bar Cart
Before I get into the details of this post, I wanted to explain how I gathered everything for my bar cart! I knew I wanted to create a coffee bar cart setting as well as have a space dedicated to alcohol as well. This I decided before I even started looking for bar cart decor! I also knew I wanted a small round bar cart, versus a taller, more angular one.
I honestly started by looking on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and Pinterest to get some inspo! These are honestly the first places I go for any type of inspo whether fashion, home, or beauty related. I found this gorgeous gold bar cart with a wine rack and knew it was the one I wanted! I build all my furniture myself, and building this only took me about 2-30 minutes! It was super easy to do.
When it came to gathering all my decor, there were a few main places I looked. I went to Home Goods/TJMaxx/Marshalls to find affordable glasses, storage, and various other items (like the picture frame, vase of fake peonies, and raw honey). Target was also my go-to, and I found the mule mugs for just $3/piece, as well as the gold glitter champagne flutes!
I also wanted to get some alcohol for my bar cart, so I ended up heading to Walmart to gather some up! I love Cupcake wine, so I made sure to grab a bottle of their Pinot Grigio. For the coffee aspect, I grabbed some fall K-cups from TJMaxx! I also purchased some pumpkin spice sauce and a few syrups from Torani (they are ELITE when it comes to flavors). Now let’s get into the styling!
Coffee Bar Cart Ideas
The first area I wanted to share was my coffee bar cart section! I made the top of my bar cart all about coffee, because coffee is my favorite drink year round! Mr.Coffee also sent me their Iced Coffee Maker (it’s only $30, you get a free Torani syrup, AND it comes with its own Tumbler) and this was the perfect place to set up things I would need to make some coffee at home.
When it came to straws, I knew I wanted to add some that were chic and which would fit the theme of my bar cart! I found this little cup for them at Office Depot of all places (my bf needed a mousepad and I ended up finding it LOL) and then the striped + star straws I got on Amazon! I threw in the little cacti wine opener too because it fit really well here.
I ended up lucking out tremendously because two of the glass mugs I featured I got for just $4 at TJMaxx because they couldn’t find a barcode. I grabbed the other two from Amazon and I have loved making whipped coffee with them! I also picked up the raw honey from TJMaxx too! They have so many random items that work around the home and I love it.
I wanted to also mention that my cute little frame was from TJMaxx too (y’all should just sponsor me at this point), and it was only like $7! I loved this Spanish terrazzo theme and was looking for something exactly like this. I bought the press for champagne print on Etsy and I’ll link it (here)! They have so many cute graphic prints that will work for a bar cart.
As I mentioned above, I got these syrups and the pumpkin pie sauce from Torani! If you ever look up a flavored coffee recipe online, a majority of the time their flavorings are from this company! Along with the Classic Hazlenut, I also grabbed a bottle of Classic Caramel too! These are the two flavors I like the most (aside from Pumpkin) when it comes to coffee.
When thinking about my bar cart in my head, I knew I wanted to add a little dimension to the cart. The best way to do that is to add a little height! I chose this chic, cream colored cake stand, and added all my syrups and sauces to the top. This + the jar holding my K-cups were both from TJMaxx!

General Bar Cart Ideas
Now we can move on to general bar cart ideas (i.e. those regarding alcohol)! I wanted to start by speaking to the fun details first. On the right side of the bottom of my bar cart, I have some chic books! I think adding books to a bar cart just adds that extra bit of height that I mentioned above. It draws the eye in a different direction! I feel as if they also give a sophisticated touch as well.
I was also so excited that Target happened to have a whole wine/beer section in their dollar spot, because I was acble to snatch up the last of these glittery champagne flutes! They were $3 for three (I got two packs, but two of them broke so I ended up with 4). I also added my rose gold french press coffee maker to the bottom to keep with the theme!

Now I know some of you were probably like “WHERE IS THE ALCOHOL?!” so here it is! I added a few of my favs and kept all the pink wines at the front to tie the colors together. I made sure to pick up a bottle of “Yes Way, Rose” wine, four small bottle of Ruffino Rose, a bottle of Cupcake Wine’s Pinot Grigio, and bottle of Stella Rose Moscato! These are my fav wines to drink (and look at).
To keep the rose gold accents going, I was able to find this Anthropologie ice bucket at Final Cut for only $8! It was such a steal. I knew I wanted a couple of mule mugs as well, and I was able to find these at the Target dollar spot for only $5/piece! I think they tie in so well with the other aspects of my bar cart and I seriously love this section the best.

Wine Glasses You’ll Love
Okay so I have already posted this image to my IG and y’all literally LOVED IT. I was dead at how many comments I got about it. I even had a few people buy a similar mug! I purchased this mug when I was 20 back in 2016 to gift myself for my birthday because it was an election year and BOY DID I NEED IT in the start of 2017 (and frankly I have needed it since too). In this section, I wanted to round up some wine glasses I love!

Bar Cart Plant Ideas
I knew from the beginning it would be fitting for me to add a plant to my bar cart. Plants are basically a part of my identify now (read more about plant purchasing + care tips here)! I found this little guy at Trader Joe’s one weekend and knew she would be the perfect addition! An FYI – Trader Joe’s plants are all like $7.99 and some even come with their own pots (like this one).
If you feel like you don’t have a green thumb, then it’s totally okay to grab a faux plant! The peonies I have on the top shelf of my bar cart are fake and I found them at, you guessed it, TJMaxx. These would’ve likely retailed for around $60-$70, but I found them for only $20! I suggest always checking a discount store before shopping full retail. These were Martha Stewart Home and I got such a great deal!

Bar Cart Placement Tips
I have a 1B/1B apartment that doesn’t have a massive amount of space (think the Monica Gellar closet of horror – that’s what my closet is like). I wanted it near my sitting chair, so I made sure to create space next to it! It’s currently situated between that and my couch. I think it’s the perfect spot and is great if I ever want to entertain! It was also the perfect place to get good lighting for these pics (heyoooo).
Depending on what size your apartment/house is, I suggest keeping it wherever works best! In a house, I would recommend keeping it near the kitchen. If you have an island or a nice seating area where guests would likely sit, have it near there! Have a small apartment? Roll it under the edge of your counter to save some more space. There are so many options!

Where to Buy a Bar Cart
In the last section of this blog post, I wanted to share where to buy a bar cart! When looking for one, I knew I wanted a gold rolling bar cart. I am clumsy and knew having wheels would come in handy at some point. The one that I come has locks too, so if you have hardwood, it won’t roll away! Looking for a cheap gold bar cart too? I’m going to share some places below where you can grab one:

Nice bar cart I want one but don’t really drink I just like the aesthetic it brings. I may get it and but my lil cans or bottles of Izze drinks and maybe a bottle of wine or two. I love how you decorated it.
It’s beautiful! We used to have a bar cart but recently updated it to a cabinet. Works the same way but the liquor is out of sight. I have some glasses, bar tools, drink recipe books, and fresh flowers on top!
I love this sooo much! Such a great idea.
