Hey y’all! For my next blog post, I really wanted to highlight the hotel I stayed in while I was in Los Angeles two weekends ago! InfluenceHer Collective paid for the stay of the winners, so this was a free stay for me. That being said, it was a great experience! I wanted to highlight that stay and give a review of the hotel.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles/Hollywood is located literally only a couple blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame! I definitely suggest it for your stay if you plan on doing a lot of various things in Hollywood while visiting LA. If you’re planning a trip, I suggest checking out my “One Day in Los Angeles Itinerary” post linked (here)!
This post is great whether you have one day in Los Angeles to explore (like I did), or a week! It tells you at least four things you should see and do while you’re there. I also listed some great places to eat in various locations around LA. Now onto the hotel review!
Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles/Hollywood
To begin this post, I wanted to mention how amazing the staff was! I wish I had gotten her name when we checked in, but I totally forgot. Basically there was an issue with us not physically having the card on file, so she communicated with our contact and figured everything out! They also let us check in at like 10:00am which is almost unheard of.
This started my day off well because I was able to check-in, get my life situated, take a quick shower (I hate how planes make me feel), and then start my day! The mishap also let me meet a few of the other bloggers who won wards (Taylor and Marj) and that was great too!
The Bed
When I walked in I was first dumbstruck by the bed! It was at least a queen size mattress if not a king. To be clear, I literally had the best sleep of my life the first night I was there. I barely remember putting my phone on the desk before I was out like a light.
The headboard was a nice touch and elevated it from just a regular bedroom honestly. It was a similar yellow to the round throw pillow they had in front of the bed pillows as well which I liked. Another great part was the darker accent wall behind the bed!
Personally my main necessity is access to outlets to charge my devices. Since I had a buy day planned the next day, I needed to plug in my phone, laptop, and portable charger too! There were plenty of outlets and the lamp (not shown) next to the bed on the left side had them built into it!
The Lounge
Okay yes this hotel literally has a chaise lounge in it. I was like “what bougie heaven have I arrived in???” It was great! I honestly was so busy I didn’t even have time to use it, but it was a great place to lay out my clothes for the next day on since it was long.
I really like that it came with a little side table! These things are great especially for businesswomen and businessmen. You can chill out, watch tv, and work on your laptop with plenty of space and room.
I also really liked the fact that they had cute little themed pillows here too!
The whole room concept just meshed well together and worked. You can see behind the lounge that the curtains also fit in with the theme I’ve shown so far! For extra lighting, you can also see the floor lamp behind this chaise as well.
The TV
The TV y’all!!! Look at that thing. It’s gorgeous! They of course had a channel guide that listed everything, but I only had it on once. Like I said I was SO busy. This is great for anyone that needs a little break in the middle of a long travel day!
You can come in, turn on the TV, and just hang out for a little bit. Another great thing is that it comes with an actual microwave! I honestly needed to heat up my coffee while I was here, so that was great.
If you’re anything like my mom, you have to bring your oatmeal with you when you travel so this is a must. As with all hotels, they also have an ice bucket! Everything is indoors and convenient on each floor.
The Sink Area
After the initial shock of how nice the room was, I walked into the bathroom and just WOW. Do you see those lights? They’re so bright I really felt like I could see every pore on my face when I looked into the mirror.
They have shelves with more towels than you know what to do with. I say this but somehow used most of them by the time I left on Sunday. The mirror was so large and could’ve easily allowed multiple people to get ready at once.
They had complementary tissues, shampoo, conditioner, and two different soaps! This is typical for most hotels, but my favorite part was that they offer a little packet that has a makeup towelette in it!
The Shower
I was most excited about the shower because showers are what I need after a long day and I know I’m not the only one. The door for this was literally on a track so you could roll it opened and closed!
I’d never been in a hotel with a shower that worked this way. The shower head is also up really high which I noticed immediately because it would’ve fit my 6’2″ boyfriend fine. He would’ve been so excited about that!
They have the little soap bar that you can see in this photo, but also they have a longer one that’s out of shot. This is a GREAT feature if you’re traveling and have multiple large sized hair care products (like my sister and I always have).
The View
My hotel room was on the entrance side of the building on the 5th floor and JUST WOW. The window is like the size of the whole wall. This was just one small area of the view, but I could not believe how gorgeous it was!
You could see a large area of Hollywood from the window which was amazing! That mountain in the background is actually the one where the Hollywood Sign sits and where you go to get to the Griffith Observatory!
My favorite part of LA overall is the stunning plants. There are palm trees all over (which I personally don’t get because it’s cold even in June) and cacti in front of almost every restaurant and shop!
Other Amenities
Some other amenities that I didn’t get photos of are an indoor pool, a continental breakfast, and a little shop that has extra food items! Another feature that was great was that the elevator only moves if you scan a room card. No one can sneak in off the street!
My overall stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles/Hollywood was a great experience even though it was a short one! In the morning (when I was yelling at Wells Fargo for putting a 4th hold on my account) I tried some sausage at the breakfast bar and a muffin and they were great!
If I ever travel back to Hollywood or Los Angeles, I definitely would stay here again. If you like this post, be sure to head over to my home page to subscribe! Not ready to commit like that? Be sure to follow me on one of my social media accounts below to keep up with what’s happening!
