3 Ways to Style Over the Knee Boots
Hello everyone! I thought showing you guys 3 Ways to Style Over the Knee Boots was an awesome idea for a post. It’s starting to shift into cooler weather (at least in most parts of the country). Down here in Georgia, I’m just happy to be able to wear these without having to peel them off my sweaty legs! If we’re being honest, I have had to do that (and in the second picture that’s exactly what I did)!
The great part about over-the-knee boots is that even if it is cold outside, you can still wear a dress! OTK boots cover a large amount of your leg. That’s one thing I really love about them and why I’m happy that I invested in some last spring. I waited for those sales y’all. I pulled together three of my favorite looks where I wore my over-the-knee boots and I hope you guys love them too!
For a sizing reference for this post, my chest is a 36in, my waist is 27in, and my hips are 36in as well! I also am going to link some over-the-knee boots for you to shop below! These are the most affordable options I’ve found and all of them are UNDER $40!!
Striped Dress + Taupe Over the Knee Boots
The first look is my most favorite if we’re being honest! I took these photos yesterday and I was so happy with the result of them. My glasses are from MVMT and the tortoiseshell matches the buttons on my dress to a tee! I couldn’t believe it.
My dress is one of my all time favorite purchases and I just can’t get enough of it! I purchased it from SheIn and couldn’t be happier. It’s also only $19! When I ordered it, I got a size large because the reviews said to size up. Honestly, I think a size medium could’ve worked fine as well (my normal size).
My cute crossbody bag is from my monthly Rent the Runway subscription and I love it! It goes with so many different looks. I linked a few for purchase below my photo so if you guys want to splurge on an awesome bag, this one is definitely it!
Striped Cardigan + Corduroy Skirt + Taupe Over the Knee Boots
This next look is another cute over the knee fav of mine! I love pairing over the knee boots with short skirts because it 1) makes them look a lot less short and 2) it really helps to tie the whole look together! In this case it totally did both of those things.
I thought adding a long cardi from The Pink Lily Boutique would be the perfect! In this case I was totally right and I think it elevated my ensemble. For the rest of my look, I paired my over the knee boots with a black strappy cami from LOFT and a corduroy button-front skirt from Forever 21!
For my other accessory to this look, I added my black tote bag that I purchased from TJMaxx. This striped cardi is also mentioned in one of my other posts linked (here)! It’s all about styles that will be popular this fall and winter so be sure to check it out.
Rainbow Sweater + Velvet Skirt + Taupe Over the Knee Boots
The third look that really shows the versatility of over-the-knee boots is below! This is another look where you can combine a shorter skirt with boots and have it look less revealing and more chic. That’s the main reason I love them!
I paired this super cute rainbow sweater (that, yes, is GapKids #noshame) from TJMaxx and this J.Crew skirt from there as well! I love finding expensive items there on mega-sale because it’s such a rush! These were definitely a win in my book.
My beret is from Forever 21 and surprisingly I’ve been able to wear it with three looks already! It’s the perfect shade of mustard to match a lot of the looks I already have. I love how it combined with the yellow in my sweater to a tee.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and that you’re inspired to try out some new outfits with some over-the-knee boots! These are 3 Ways to Style Over the Knee Boots that I love, but try your own adaptation of it!
