I am so excited for this post you guys. I’ve been wanting to work with other bloggers for a while now and thought this post would be the perfect way to do so! When I asked what kinds of posts you guys wanted, I knew this one would be a winner.
I had a special request for a post about styling women of all body types and weights/clothing for all sizes! I thought this would be so informative and give y’all some style tips for tall women, style tips for short women, and just more tips overall on clothing for all sizes!
I asked six other blogger babes to contribute who are of various heights, shapes, colors, and sexualities! For this specific post, I really wanted to be as diverse as possible with styling different body types. That’s what led me to the AMAZING women I reached out to! They’re all so gorgeous and look stunning when styling different outfits for their own blogs.
The format of this post will be very easy to follow. You’ll also be able to see where to shop for your body type! I asked these lovelies where their favorite places to shop were and listed those too. Each section will have a photo of her, her info/blog, her size, where she loves to shop, and a bit about her!
How to Style Various Body Types (PLUS: Where to Shop for Them)

Hello! I am Chelsea, creator behind A Fashionable Believer. I love clothes/fashion and I don’t let societal norms dictate what a “curvy” girl should wear. I love pink and neutral colors so pretty much anything those colors are my love language.
I love neutrals because they go with so many other colors and it allows you to add extra “fun” colors in to your outfit. Pink is always my go to because it makes me feel so girly and dainty. In 2019, I am challenging myself to add even more color to my wardrobe and branching out by mixing patterns together!

I’ve always been thin, but I also have deceivingly curvy hips so one way that I dress to accommodate that is to accentuate my waist rather than my hips. So I wear a lot of high waisted bottoms and tuck a lot of my tops in.
If I buy a top that I plan to leave untucked, I always make sure it hits below my hips and not right at them. I also have a really small bust so I tend to shy away from super low cut tops. Otherwise, I tend to just wear what makes me feel my best, as cheesy as that sounds.

When it comes to clothing and fashion, my style changes a bit depending on the weather and the mood I’m in. Some days I prefer very feminine, vintage looks that make me feel like a princess, and other days I like to go for a graphic tee and jeans.
I also feel that the traditionally masculine elements crept into my closet more once I came out as bisexual – queer style is very complex and I know a lot of people who see a significant change in their personal style once they find their sexuality and/or gender identity.
Because every store is so different, I can be a size 4 in one store and a size 8 at another. It drives me up a wall that we don’t have universal sizing! In the last few years, I’ve learned that the number isn’t what’s important, it’s how the piece fits you.

I’m a curvy girl. I guess you could say I have an hourglass shape…although I’m no Jessica Rabbit haha. I usually find that high waisted pants are most flattering on me. They sit at my waist (my smallest point) and show off my curves. On top I will usually pair a thin layering shirt that I can tuck in like a tissue turtleneck or even a camisole with a cropped jacket or blazer over.
In the winter I like to wear cropped sweaters with my high waisted pants. A high waisted wide leg pant is my all time favorite. In the summer I look for dresses with a tie waist, again to accentuate my waist line. Dresses are also usually more forgiving for my curves so I can usually size down. I choose pieces that go with my style; I like chic, simple, one color pieces.

My body shape is between a pear and an hourglass. Because of this, I try to accentuate my waist every chance I can! My secret weapon is adding a belt over a dress/skirt because it draws the eye to my smallest point. High-waisted jeans, skirts, and wrap dresses do the same trick.
The best part about high-waisted jeans is that they make my legs look so much longer than they actually are. When you’re looking for a pair of high-waisted jeans, make sure you find a quality pair so that they keep their shape throughout the day. Everlane, Levi’s, and Able jeans work the best for my body type.

When I was a kid, I truthfully hated my body. I’ve always had short but thick limbs, so dressing for my body was so difficult. But as I’ve grown older and have grown to appreciate what my body can do for me, I’ve come to embrace these parts of myself.
I LOVE an amazing pair of dark wash denim (that I don’t need to hem!)! I’ll pair them with a more oversized sweater and an amazing pair of heeled booties. As a curvy petite gal, I find that heeled booties make me feel confident. They elongate my legs and give me the extra boost to strut my stuff!

I have been roughly the same size since high school. I’ve always had a very athletic build (my mom said even as a baby I did LOL). Because of this, I always have issues with jeans! Even though I’m relatively thin, I’m still “curvy” which is why I get jeans at LOFT and Old Navy. They both have a good variety and curvier styles!
I’ve always been a bit self-conscious with my body, so I generally buy clothes that are looser fitting. Even when I workout I wear loose tanks! I’m also always on the hunt for good deals which is another reason I shop at the places above.
Thank you all so much for reading this post on How to Style Various Body Types! This was the post I was most excited about writing EVER and I hope you guys love it too. Be sure you check out these other awesome bloggers/blogs (or IG accounts) now that you’re done reading! I hope these bloggers of different body types, shapes, and sizes helped you find some style hacks for yourself!
I also wanted to add as a conclusion, that these are not the ONLY body types that exist. There are women that don’t find into the size range of the bloggers featured here! I always want to be as open as I can to size diversity, so if you know any bloggers outside of this size range who would love to collab, LET ME KNOW!!!
