Now if you’re a blogger, it’s likely that you’ve heard of LIKEtoKNOW.it and RewardStyle! It was a little confusing to me at first on the distinction, but they’re actually the same platform! LIKEtoKNOW.it is the customer facing side and RewardStyle is the back end where you do all of the magic! I didn’t understand when I first started, but I caught on pretty quickly.
Rewardstyle is such a great option for bloggers who want to make money rounding up the items they love! I take it almost as a small personal styling fee. You find the items and basically curate them for your followers!
In this post I’ll explain a little bit more into what RewardStyle actually is and then show you what the various widgets do! I got accepted almost a year ago and it’s been great for me so far!
How to Use RewardStyle
Now to talk more about RewardStyle, that’s the way that you make the money! You earn a small commission from the product that each person purchases using your link. The way this works is through your browser “cookies.”
Some consumers don’t like shopping from influencer links for whatever reason, but in reality you’ll likely only be making $0.20-$1.50 per sale. Unless you have a following that can afford Gucci purses, this is the reality you have to get used to!
That being said, it’s honestly an amazing way to start making some side money! If you have a job already, creating ways to make passive income, like RewardStyle, can get you some extra $$$. You can also make cool additions to your blog through it as well!
Check out some of the features below:
Link Ninja Widget:
Link Ninja is the way you can link all of your items! This is honestly the most important widget for RewardStyle. The main reason being that it helps you create all of your other widgets!
You literally just drag the Link Ninja button to your favorites bar (on your desktop) to start. Then, whenever you get to a website where you’re linking something, click it! It’s really simple to do. I’ll show you how below:
They literally updated this about a week ago. It used to pop up in the center of the screen, but now I honestly like it more! You’re able to select the correct pricing, photo, and description now.
You can see above that it also says “get link” which is great if you want to link a word in a blog post!
It’s also awesome if you need to send a link to someone. Then you can still get your commission!
In order to get all of your other widgets to work, make sure to add the item to your “favorites” section. You can then create a board for whatever you want to add. You can see I have an ASOS tab for my ASOS Spring Style Guide! I demonstrated how to do this below.
The little plus sign is where you go to add these items. You can then just “check off” the box next to the tab and create a boutique from that! Boutiques are a really cool widget and you can see what they are in the next section.
Boutique Widget:
I love the Boutique Widget because it shows almost a set of cards on your post! It’s so adorable and gives you a more chic look that you can add to posts. I especially love this widget when I’m doing a brand specific post.
I used this widget for my latest post on Creating a Cozy Home with Scotties! For this post, I used it to link all of my home items and the clothes that I was wearing. It was so cute and a great way to end my post!
The nice part about the Boutique Widget is that you can also customize the size and look to an extent. I always like to be honest with what I’m showing to my readers and so I generally make sure the price is visible with a hover over.
Shop the Post Widget:
Shop the Post Widget is one of my FAVORITE widgets because when people are reading your blog post they can actually see the garments! It’s an easy way to show them the items they love and you can customize the look and size of it.
I use this on almost every blog post I have! I adore adding it below my photos and then it’s easy for my readers to quickly shop whatever I’m wearing! Below is what they can look like in an actual post. This is an example from my Master Bedroom Tour!
From what I’ve seen, there isn’t a limit to how many items you can put in the Shop the Post Widget! You can have it be small, medium, or large. I always choose small because it 1) it takes up less space and 2) you can see a lot more items at once.
Products
If you ever forget what items you’ve linked or want to go back and find links to them, you can always head over to the “Products” tab! There you can hover over it and see all of your favorites.
I sometimes forget what items I’ve linked or forget an item. Sometimes I link things in my blog posts in a different manner and it’s easiest to just grab links! If you’ve ever seen a blogger do this:
Then they likely just used the links that were grabbed from RewardStyle! I do this sometimes because I’m also a part of the Amazon Influencer Program. That just means I switch up my RewardStyle links and Amazon ones occasionally!
RewardStyle Mobile
RewardStyle also has mobile capabilities! Once you’re accepted to the platform, this is how you can create and post images through social media platforms. I generally try to post at least five enabled images a week and I stay pretty consistent.
Enable a New Image
This is the middle section on the mobile app. It’s how you Enable a New Image for social media! You’ll have the option to share to multiple platforms once you enable it. It’ll then show all of the previous photos you uploaded to the app in this area.
Earnings
The Earnings section shows just that! Your earnings! It’ll show how many sales you have had in a week and will populate all the items that people clicked on where a sale happened.
Now PLEASE NOTE: just because someone clicked on the item that appears does NOT mean they purchased that exact item. For example, if they clicked on a $1000 Gucci purse, but only bought a $20 pair of heels, your commission will be based off of the heels and not the bag.
Favorites
There isn’t much to say about the Favorites section, but I felt I should explain all sections of the app! This area keeps all of your folder tabs as well as your favorites section! You can get links from clicking on items here too.
Search
You can see I search A LOT of different items. This area is so helpful when I’m out and trying to quickly link items! When I’m at work on my lunch break or at the mall, this is the perfect way to link items quickly.
I hope this post helped you learn how to start monetizing your influence through RewardStyle! This is a great app and system to use in order to generate passive income for yourself. This IS a form of affiliate income too! Make sure to use disclosures.
This post is full of all the tips I needed when I first started blogging and using RewardStyle! I learned all of these tips myself through trial and error, RewardStyle tutorials, and Pinterest! I’ve tried to combine as much of that knowledge as I could.

Aw I’m so happy it was able to help! Good luck!
Hello,
Do you know if there is a way to use link Ninja on mobile? I cannot find a way to get links from advertisers on mobile, the search option on the app is not working for me…
Hi! There’s actually not a way to use it on mobile. Probably the most frustrating part about it! Sorry!!
Hi, I see link ninja in my reward style app and when I click on it creates a link. I have put 2 of those links in my insta story with a swipe up and I am 100% sure that the purchase was made but I did not receive any commission. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Hi!
So the cookie window in stories is very short. From everything I’ve heard and read the window only allows someone 5 minutes to purchase once the link opens!
Thank you! I just started with rewardStyle and it is super confusing!
So glad I could help!
Love the feed, but I have a question.
I recently started with LIKEtoKNOW.it and I’m not understanding how some people are linking amazon items to their page.
Hi! The best way to link to Amazon is by using the Link Ninja browser extension! Once you are on the Amazon page of the item you like, you just have to click that button!
Love the feed, however, I have a question. I see a lot of girls linking products from Amazon, but when I search for amazon products I cannot even find the website. How are some able to link amazon products to their LIKEtoKNOW.it???
It’s really easy! When you use the Link Ninja browser extension you click it on any site. You can then find it in your favorites on your RewardStyle back end page! If the retailer is linked through LIKEtoKNOW.it, then you’ll be allowed to favorite their products.
So Amazon is only linkable through the desktop and not the mobile app?
You can link to Amazon using the app; however, you have to search for the item through RewardStyle and most of the time I can’t find my item.
It also takes up to 6 weeks before you will be able to see the Amazon items because RewardStyle is getting you setup in their affiliate program!
Yes! Also Amazon is just slow sometimes haha.
Thank you so much for this post! I’m new to LTK and like the other comments below, it can get pretty overwhelming and confusing! One quick question I’ve been wondering: is there a way to see or access your list of followers?
Hi Anna! So sadly the one thing LTK doesn’t do is show you who follows you. It’s probably the most frustrating part!
On the enable page what does the little shopping bag mean? On one of my post it has a 1 beside the shipping bag. Does that mean someone purchased something though my link?
Yes it does!
Hello! I recently just got accepted from LTK as well. Thank you for your blog post. This was super helpful! I was wondering does the 1 next to the shopping bag mean 1 person purchased or how many items from the enabled image was purchased?
It means how many purchases were made through one of your linked items! For example: if someone clicks on a pair of shoes and makes any purchase on the site through that linked item (no many how many products) it will show as “1”!
hi his!! loved your post!! I have recently been accepted into the program and have added my LiketoKNOW.it widget to my blog! But for some reason the product don’t appear through the phone experience. Have you had this happen to you? thanks so much in advance! xoxo
Jessenia
Hi Jessenia,
I have not had this happen! I would make sure you have the RewardStyle plugin installed. That could be the issue! If you search it on the RewardStyle site in the help center, a post should pop up with the .zip file download.
How I can transfer money that I earned in reward style ?
It will automatically deposit with every $100 you make in commissions! I believe the payout is every other Friday.
Great post! Will definitely need the SEO tips next. This is at the Tip Top of google search. Impressed! Great work!
Aw thank you! Will definitely consider a post on SEO tips!
Do you use RewardStyle in Pinterest images? Trying to figure out my best way to utilize the platform. Also, do you find that the boutique and shop this post widget slow down your site much? ThankS!
Hi Erin! I sometimes repost the images I use on RewardStyle/LTK.it to my Pinterest account. I’ll then use related keywords in the description and link to the LTK.it link! I haven’t found that the boutique and shop the post widgets slow it down, I have noticed that boutique takes SO MUCH LONGER to load and can never really be centered. I generally try to stay away from it!
Hello, I am new to RewardStyle. I have lined to items from retailers that I’m certain RewardStyle pays commission on (I.e, Target, Nordstrom) and I show I’ve sold several of some particular items, but the commission shows $0.00. Do you know why some items don’t earn commission? Thanks in advance!
Hi Karlee, so three things. The first being that LIKEtoKNOW.it sometimes takes up to a week to show the actual commission received! The second thing is that sometimes the item purchased through your link is a lot cheaper than the linked item. You’ll still likely even get a small commission though so that’s probably not your issue! The third thing is that someone may have returned the item. Usually then it’ll show up with a negative sign. I hope this helped a little!
Hello!
Is it possible to use RewardStyle if you are a youtuber and not a blogger?
Yes! I have see YouTubers use links in their captions!
HI! This post is great. I have a question, if I have rewards style then should I also sign up for Target affiliate program too? I see Target is an advertiser on reward style which is why I am confused!
You can do both! I personally prefer RStyle, but it’s 100% up to you.
I just got accepted this month to RewardStyle. I have been trying to use the widgets etc, but I guess it’s not compatible with wordpress.com. I’m having a hard time trying to figure out if I should switch to Blogger, wordpress.org. Any suggestions?
Hi Angela,
Sorry for my late reply. You can use RStyle with WordPress.com! You just have to download the plugin which you can find on their site.
Hey!
I was wondering if you knew if you will receive commissions for purchases made through your links but purchased on a retailer app. For example – posting a link to a shirt at Target, tapping the link to purchase & the Target app opening on your phone and purchasing shortly after. I can’t seem to find info on this.
Thanks!!
Hi Sarah,
From all I’ve heard, YES you will get commissions if it opens into the retailer’s app! It has the same cookie window. Hope this helps!
hi there! loved this post babe. I was just wondering if you would recommend posting on LTKIt sales/discounts posts? I see a lot of posts about products that are on sale in comparison to photos of themselves posing/Instagram feed photos.
Hi Jocelyn, Yes that is a great idea!
What if you link has two items for the same retailer and the customer buys both items on one purchase. Do you get credit?
Yes you do!
Thank you so much for putting this together. I just recently learned about RewardStyle, and went to their site to learn more about how to use it, but their intro page only has general information. I really appreciate you taking the time to outline options for use, and to answer reader questions.
Oh my gosh of course! I’m so glad I could.
Thank you so much for this post! I had no idea you could half of these things with RewardStyle LOL I’m so excited to add these widgets to my site!
LOL!! I’m so happy this post helped!
