Hey y’all! It’s the weekend before Christmas! I’m so excited because this is my favorite holiday of the year. Spending time with family and cooking, hanging out, and giving everyone their gifts is what I love so much! For this holiday season, I also have had SUCH a fun partnership with LOFT!
Yesterday I headed out to the LOFT in Athens, GA and did a fun little try-on haul! I still have it in my highlight section of my Instagram page if you want to watch, but I wanted to do a blog post dedicated to everything I wore! LOFT is having a HUGE sale right now in stores and online so treat yo’ self or just see how things look then head over to your nearest LOFT!
Just to explain how I’ll be doing this post, I will post a picture of the item I tried on, and then link items below that I think will also pair nicely with them! Those extra items may or may not be from LOFT (mostly just the accessories). For reference, my sizing is: 36in bust, 27in waist, and 36in hips.
LOFT Try-On Haul
I wanted to post this photo first because I love how cute this wrap blouse is! The manager at the Athens, GA LOFT was wearing this and I knew I had to try it on too! Bright red is a color I used to shy away from, but that I’m now drawn to! It’s just fitted enough that it’s flattering, but yet still chic. LOFT currently only has an XXS left in regular online, but I’ve noticed if you just size up one, a petite fits just the same! I tried on a size XS and it fit me perfectly.
Ahhh! A pink plaid sweater y’all! I love it so much. This was one of the items I actually got because it’s so amazing! I love that it’s lightweight but still cozy which is what I need living in Georgia! If you live anywhere with mild winters, this is the sweater for you! Adding these plain gray ponte leggings to the ensemble works very well too. I tried on a size small in both the sweater and leggings and they fit perfectly!
I love this dress because I generally do NOT love turtlenecks! They make me feel trapped and itchy even if the sweater isn’t. This dress is extremely soft and it’s stretchy too! Pair it with leggings, tights, or nothing underneath and you have a solid look! I tried on a size small in this and it fit me perfectly!
This next look was a favorite of mine from the try-on haul. I was obsessed with this white turtleneck sweater! Realizing now that I JUST said that I hate turtlenecks, but this sweater was seriously the exception. I tried on this one in a size small and it fits so nicely! Also loving these slit hem velvet pants and I tried them on in a size 2. They’re a modern fit which I used to not fit in, but for these it worked!
I thought I would go a little business casual with this next look! Ever since I accepted my professional internship offer with Disney, I’ve been slowly adding more professional wear to my wardrobe. Color is my best friend so this pom-pom blouse was perfect! I thought just pairing it with a black pair of dress pants would be a great idea and it was! I wore a size small in the blouse and a size 2 in Julie skinny for the pants.
This sweater was so unique to me! I loved the geometric pattern and it has such cute shades of pink and red in it! When trying it on, I realized it was medium weight and didn’t seem to have much, if any, wool in it. My skin is very sensitive so I can usually tell when there’s any wool at all, but this was so comfortable! I tried this on in a size small and then the jeans I have on are a size 2 curvy skinny.
If I regret not getting one thing from my LOFT try-on haul, it is most definitely this striped ruffle hem sweater! I grabbed in a size small and it was very fitted, so if I had ended up purchasing, I would’ve sized up to a medium. This was a pretty lightweight sweater which I liked a lot! These are the same pair of jeans from my previous photos and were the curvy skinny jeans in a size 2.
This dress was another item that I actually purchased today! The fit of this dress was great and it and ran a little bit bigger than most other dresses from LOFT. If you’re considering getting it, I would size up! For me, I got a size 0, but normally take a size 2. It is fitted at the waist which I loved and then of course loved the peplum hem too! Tie necks are also my weakness so that is also a cute addition to it.
I am SUCH a fan of duster cardigans because, to me, I feel like I’m wearing a cape. Even though Edna Mode might not be a fan of capes I totally am! The light gray shade of this is stunning, but I also linked a darker gray and a black one as well. With sizing, I chose a size small to try and it worked perfectly! Plus, pockets!
Did I somehow manage to find ANOTHER polka dot sweater? Of course I did. This one is lightweight and a really nice texture. The polka dots are actually kind of like little pom-poms and that just makes it all that more cute! I tried this on in a size small and it fit me well, but I probably would’ve sized up to a medium if I bought it.
Whenever I see a jumpsuit I think “oh there’s NO way that will fit me” because most of the time they look awkward on my body! I have a pretty short torso and really long legs so I’m always cautious. This gray long-sleeved Lou & Grey jumpsuit was PERFECT and was my regular size small! This could be a bit long for shorter women (I’m 5’6″) so keep that in mind.
This fuzzy sweater dress and plaid scarf combo was one of y’alls favs from my try-on haul (and mine too)! I loved this dress from Lou & Grey because it hit at the perfect length and was also the softest thing I have ever felt in my life. The scarf really tied the entire look together! Add some over the knee boots (post on how to style them (here)) and a cute tote and you’ll be all set! I tried this dress on in a size small.
Guys guys guys!! This tank is perfection. I saw this online and knew I would love it. First of all, it’s blush pink (my fav color) and second, it has VELVET straps *swoon*! Since I have a very broad chest/shoulders, so tanks usually gets pulled a little tight! I tried on a size XS, but would most definitely size up to a small which I usually do in tanks and strappy camis.
I have been on the search for a striped poncho for over a year now, but just haven’t found one I loved! The one pictured above is new and I couldn’t find it online yet. That is, be sure to check your local LOFT store and they might have it! If you’re itching to get one like I was, shop the few I linked above! I bought the subtle white striped on that I linked. I’m wearing an XS/S size but they also come in M/L!
I hope you guys enjoyed this LOFT Try-On Haul! I had so much fun working with the ladies at the Athens, GA LOFT and I hope to go back again sometime this upcoming year! The items I found in this haul are GREAT transitional pieces into spring so be sure to scoop them up while they’re on sale!
