How to Best Manage Credit in College and After Graduation

***Thank you Lexington Law Firm for sponsoring this post. A high service partner and consumer advocate that will help you fight for the credit you deserve!***

Today on the blog I wanted to share an amazing company that will help you manage your credit while in college, and after you graduate! Credit is something that is really important to me. After graduating from college, I feel like it ‘s the last “grade” that I’ll ever have and I want to make sure it’s a good one! If you’ve been looking into credit repair companies, look no further than this post!

Today I wanted to talk about Lexington Law Firm and share about their services that can help with anything from credit restoration, to money management, and even identity protection! These three things are very important to me, but today I wanted to dive more into how they can help you with your credit since we’re approaching the holiday season.

My Credit Repair Process/Goals

I first checked my credit score my Freshman year of college. I knew what my credit had been, but I hadn’t really needed to focus on it until then! I really knew I needed to start looking into my credit and start the process of building it while I was in school because I didn’t know where I would end up once I graduated.

While in college, I decided I would open up my first credit card. My mom had warned against it when I first turned 18 because (for valid reasons) she didn’t want me to go crazy and rack up a ton of debt. I knew what I should do though and when I felt responsible enough, I decided to open a store credit card with TJMaxx!

I learned how best to use it along the way. At first, my credit started dropping and I was a little overwhelmed as to why. I then realized it was because you’re generally only supposed to spend around 10% of your credit limit and NOT just spend a lot and immediately pay it off.

This is what started me on my path to fixing my credit and making sure that I knew how to handle a credit card, as well as build credit in a healthy way! Now that I have graduated and have student loans from college, it’s even more important that I stay on top of this aspect of my life. That way I can potentially start saving for a house, car, and travel for the near future!

What Lexington Law Firm Can Do

When I first realized my credit was not where I wanted it to be, I started freaking out. We hadn’t had any classes on building/maintaining credit in school and so I didn’t really know what to do first. Improving one’s credit score may take time, but it can be done if you work at it! Every person has the right to good credit and Lexington Law Firm can help fix any (known or unknown) mistakes that have been made.

There are many errors that can show up on your credit report that you might not even know about. I didn’t even know that was a possibility until I started looking into Lexington Law Firm! These errors can include: closed accounts that are reported as open, having old debts you’ve already paid off  listed, and so many more! I’m glad I know about this now so I can look out for this in the future.

As with many industries in recent years, the credit repair industry has grown much larger. This has, in turn, created a lot of false information that has been circulating around the internet! Everyone needs to be educated that errors can and need to be fixed. That way you’ll be on the path to fixing your credit and ensuring that you’re where you need to be to save and plan for the future!

The reason I personally love Lexington Law Firm is because they offer packages that meet every clients needs! As a recent graduate, I don’t make a ton of money yet. That means I need a package that doesn’t break the bank, but that still helps me fix and build my credit. They offer three different packages that you can choose from and all of them offer various options that are tailored to your needs!

How Lexington Law Firm Stands Out

One thing that I wasn’t aware of up front is that there are multiple credit bureaus. My mom told me that each ranks your credit score separately and that different businesses look at them in different ways. Lexington Law has strong relationships with all three of the largest credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion!

This is an important factor because it means they know these companies, have worked with them often, and can help you get errors off of your credit report faster. This was really important to me because when it comes to my credit. I want to make sure I get problems solved as quickly as possible so I’m not hindered in the future!

As a gal on the go, I’m rarely home during the week. If I am actually at home, I am constantly working on my blog! That means I really want (and need) things at the touch of a button. Aside from having a website, Lexington Law stands out from other law firms because they have created an easy to use app that can be accessed on-the-go as well!

It gives you access to all of their amazing services right in your hand. While I’m waiting in line at the grocery store or even eating lunch at work, I can quickly and easily look at and work on my credit! I really like this feature and think it’s something more companies should look into doing.

Four years ago was a very dark day for me. I was worried about immigrants, women’s rights, the climate, etc. I feared that irreversible damage would be done (and honestly some has).⁣
⁣
Today, today I have HOPE. I see a President that cares about the country, the climate, and our people. I see someone who wants to repair the damage that has been done and work towards a better future. ⁣

People love to separate MLK into this bucket where he fits their own idea of him. A “model” minority. Somehow they feel it makes them less racist and more of an “ally” to POC and it needs to stop. ⁣

⁣
3. Kicking Your Leg Back - I feel like this is just a really fun pose that people love seeing! ⁣

Let’s make 2021 the year of loving yourself! ❤️ Your body has gotten you through almost an entire year of a pandemic. Gaining a little weight means NOTHING. ⁣
⁣
I feel like every year I make resolutions to lose weight or work out more. Every year I also always end up falling short of these goals. I also know I’m probably not the only one! ⁣
⁣
This year we need to be happy with the bodies we HAVE! Being healthy doesn’t have a size/weight limit. Love yourself, love your body, and everything else will fall into place! ⁣
