Modern Master Bedroom Tour

This is the post you’ve ALL been waiting for! My master bedroom tour! For those of you who don’t know, I moved to Orlando, FL on January 4th. I have an internship with Disney and I was so excited to furnish a new space.

I have slowly been gathering items for my apartment for the last few months. I’m SO SO excited that everything has finally come together! Picture me spending hours searching Pinterest for master bedroom decor ideas. That being said, I’m happy I finally found everything that I wanted!

Master Bedroom Tour Cover Photo

Every piece of furniture in this room tour I built myself on the day I moved in. Yes, I definitely need my own HGTV show and I seriously want to pitch them something called “Handy Mandy.” Any of you work there? Let’s make this happen amiright?

For this post, I’m going to talk a little about the influences behind each area of my space!  I’ll then link the items in that area for you guys to shop in case you love them too. I have some really unique and fun pieces that I hope y’all love as much as I do!

Master Bedroom Tour

Clothing Rack

I knew that I wanted a clothing rack and space for my blogging outfits! I generally plan out 4-5 outfits during the week and lay or hang them out until I go take them. My inspiration for this rack was neutrals with a splash of pink!

Sometimes with clothing racks like this I’ll just try to make them look really cohesive. That almost makes it decor by itself! I definitely took inspiration from one of my fav quotes which is “I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet!”

The clothes that I added to my rack are mostly neutral shades as I stated above. I focused on adding shades of blacks, whites, grays, beiges, and some subtle pops of pink! These are color combos that I wear often and that I love to look at.

Plaid Blazer // Trench Coat // Polka Dot Dress // Pink Blouse // Purse

Below my clothing rack, I knew I wanted to have a faux fur throw to put my shoes on. I love this trend and think it makes this area look even more chic! It adds a subtle touch of elegance to an otherwise pretty basic white clothing rack. Below is my exact clothing rack that is ONLY 12.99!!

The shoes that I chose to put beneath it are some of my all time favorites! The sequin block heel shoes on the left I found this past holiday season at Old Navy. Great for the holidays or for literally any other time of year!

My espadrille wedges are from Target, my white patent leather boots are Steve Madden from DSW, and my ADORABLE pink velvet block heels are from J.Crew! I love seeing my fav shoes, and the colors bring out the ones from the outfits above.

Bed and Pillows

As I stated above, I moved to Orlando for my internship in early January! I have always lived in furnished apartments so I quickly realized I would have zero furniture when I loved down here.
My birthday present from my mom this year was LITERALLY my bed and bed frame. It was the best gift ever because now I can sleep.

She also honestly found the most comfortable one ever and it came wrapped up in a roll which was easy to throw in my car. I knew I wanted a round gold rimmed mirror in my room SOMEWHERE and it just happened that it worked best above my bed! I have a weird paranoia about seeing myself in a mirror when I sleep so it was the perfect choice for me.

Master Bedroom Bed with five decorative

I wanted to do a more focused shot for the pillows and throw on my bed! I am SO OBSESSED with my pillows. When it comes to pillows I always have at least five. I don’t know how I always accumulate them, but I do.

The two pillows in the back are actually pillow covers! While interning in New York this past summer, I discovered the H&M Home section and fell in love. These I found for JUST 50¢ EACH! I couldn’t believe it.

The furry pillow is one I’ve actually had for years and I got it at Target. The aztec printed pillow in the middle is my FAV pillow ever. I found it at Final Cut (which is where Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People samples go) for ONLY $10. The small green pillow in the front is from Target and I just wanted more velvet!

Side Table + Furnishings

I personally ALWAYS need a side table. Something else weird about me, I always keep a glass of water next to my bed at night. I don’t know why, but I always do! This just helps with that. I also generally have a lamp; however, when I took this I didn’t have one. I, of course, was reading Michelle Obama’s book Becoming and that lived on my bedside table for a good minute! I’m also obsessed with plants so you’ll see that I have some throughout my room.

This cute little plant head is one of my fav items. I had seen a bunch of white ceramic ones and then I found a mixed person colored one and FREAKED OUT. My letter board is also something I love because this one has wooden pieces that fit into those slats. My quote is one that Walt Disney said and I felt that it was appropriate since I’m a cast member!

Desk + Decor

My mom asked at first why I needed a desk. GIRL I WORK ALL THE TIME. But seriously. When I’m not working I will come home and blast out blog posts, edit photos, or create graphics for future posts. I knew that a desk was one thing I was immediately going to get.

I found this one on Amazon for about $100 less than it retails for and I was SOLD. It’s a Nathan James (which is apparently a very high end furniture company) and it’s ONLY $113 on Amazon right now! I carried this from my car, to my room, and built it myself so it’s not insanely heavy either.

I also knew I wanted a modern looking chair (that is not pictured because all the photos with it looked WEIRD). I LOVED this one that I found on Amazon and it’s JUST $54. I know that saying “just” and “only” when they’re over $50, BUT compared to other furniture they’re insanely affordable.

Loving my cork board? I DO TOO! I loved a really expensve version of it on Amazon that retails for around $60. I knew that wasn’t a feasible price so I DIY’d my own version! You can find my post on how to make this DIY Gold Framed Cork Board (For Under $15) linked (here)!

This item below was a more recent addition to my desk! I have so many earrings that I have in multiple places because I had literally no where to keep them. I am OBSESSED with this earring stand I found at The Container Store for JUST $12.99! It’s such a steal and literally fits all my earrings.

I also have a post on where you can find a lot of the earrings below! I have it linked below this photo and it’s Chic Statement Earrings on Amazon Under $15! So if you’re on the hunt for some new one, be sure to check that out as well.
