Modern Boho Chic Holiday Decor

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing my Modern Boho Chic Holiday Decor! I literally adore how it all turned out and it fits my aesthetic perfectly. Every time I watch Netflix at night with my twinkle lights on I get into the holiday spirit! Everything I purchased for the holidays was under $25 and most of it was actually under $10. If you want to decorate for the holidays on a budget, then this post is for you!

I’ve never been a big fan of the traditional red/green holiday coloring, so I usually try to stay away from it! I knew I wanted to focus on bright, bold colors that still had a holiday theme. The items that I pulled together all ended up working together and I am sooo happy with how they all turned out! My space looks so bright and festive and I can’t wait for Christmas.

Holiday Table Setting

I wanted to start this post by sharing a holiday table setting idea! I was so excited to create this setting because it fell in so perfectly with my other decor. I found these little $3 ceramic houses in the Target dollar spot, and wasn’t sure originally how I’d use them! I thought I’d send up with them on my mantle, but I realized they looked better on my living room table.

They came with the little tea lights already installed and I LOVED that. I then added my Capri Blue tin candle to the center and I think the pairing was perfect! The gold accent on the candle perfectly matched my marble and gold tray. It also worked in with my gold rounded mirror and the “Fa La La” stocking holder as well! All the accents came together perfectly.

Teal Velvet Arm Chair

I honestly knew I was going to incorporate this chair into my holiday setting from the beginning. I wasn’t sure how at first, but it ended up working perfectly! I purchased this chair from Wayfair (but you can get it from Walmart which is less problematic) and it is SO comfortable. It would honestly be perfect for a living room chair or a reading nook!

I also thought it would be cute to add a throw blanket over the back of the chair. This one is from Target and it’s literally only $10! I couldn’t believe it. The little stockings pillow was one I grabbed last year from the dollar spot for $5! It matched with the green of the garland to a tee and I think really tied this area together. Matching shades of colors is an easy way to create cohesion in a space!

Stockings & Fireplace

I posted an Instagram story about watching Supernatural and a lot of y’all flipped about my stocking set up! I knew it need its own little space in this post, so here they are! I grabbed the two faux fur stockings from Target two years ago (I went on the 26th when everything was heavily discounted LOL) and then the gorgeous pink stocking this year! It fit with my theme and just felt really on brand for me.

My “Fa La La” stocking holder was also from 2018, but I linked a similar one at the end of the post! Both are super chic. Another side note: I literally built this fireplace! You can buy electric fireplaces from Lowe’s or Home Depot and this one was PERFECT for my living room. It also only took me a couple of hours to put together! It really brings the cozy vibe to my room.

Round Gold Mirror

This shot was just so pretty to me! My photographer realized how gorgeous of a shot this would be and quickly snapped a pic. This round gold mirror was actually one of my birthday gifts from my mom a couple years ago. I knew it would elevate any space, and I was right! It’s great whether you’re using it on a day to day basis, or for the holidays!

Record Player + Birds of Paradise

You can only barely see my plant baby in this photo, but I wanted to include her in this! I feel like a lot of people feel like plants can’t be incorporated into holiday decor, but I feel like they add a nice, natural, vibe to any space. I wanted to include my Birds of Paradise because it looks really sophisticated. She also has a white basket stand that works with my decor!

I also moved my record player over to this area because it fit in like it was made to be here! I found this Crosley for only $40 at Final Cut and couldn’t be happier about it. It also happened to match my pink stocking perfectly which I couldn’t believe. I have it sitting on top of this $10 side table from IKEA and to very much served the purpose I bought it for!

Black Santa Advent Calendar

Y’all know I had to add in my Black Santa advent calendar! I was so happy to find this advent calendar at Target (they need to sponsor my life at this point) and I LOVED HIM SO MUCH! His little eyebrows are adorable and his fuzzy little mustache is so cute. He was only $10 which I couldn’t believe, and the candy cane to select the day was the perfect addition.

Holiday Themed Pillows

I also found some of the cutest holiday themed pillows this year! I decided to match my yellows, so I bought these chartreuse throw pillows from World Market! They look a little more yellow online, but they’re actually more of a deeper shade in person. I also freaked out when I saw this pink llama pillow that has gifts all over it! This was honestly the most expensive thing I bought, and it was only $20!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I absolutely LOVE my space and I hope you do too. The pink accents throughout really helped create the Modern Boho Chic Holiday Decor theme and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! MY VICE PRESIDENT IS A BLACK WOMAN!!!! 🎉😭⁣ MY VICE PRESIDENT IS A BLACK WOMAN!!!! 🎉😭⁣
⁣
Four years ago was a very dark day for me. I was worried about immigrants, women’s rights, the climate, etc. I feared that irreversible damage would be done (and honestly some has).⁣
⁣
Today, today I have HOPE. I see a President that cares about the country, the climate, and our people. I see someone who wants to repair the damage that has been done and work towards a better future. ⁣

If you are pro-Trump, you cannot be pro-Martin Luther King Jr. ⁣

People love to separate MLK into this bucket where he fits their own idea of him. A “model” minority. Somehow they feel it makes them less racist and more of an “ally” to POC and it needs to stop. ⁣

Stop half assing your posts today (I’m calling out all of you who are saying “Happy MLK day loves!!!” like this is Valentine’s Day) and actually speak up for what matters. ⁣

⁣
4. Leaning Against a Pole - (or using it as a balance) It mixes up the colors of a shot + adds more dimension to it! BONUS - helps you to balance in heels 😉⁣
⁣
5. “Walking” Across The Street - I honestly suck at looking natural while walking even if I’m literally walking (@hannahlozanophoto can attest to this). But when you get it right, it’s CUTE! ⁣

I’ve gained about 15 pounds this past year. But I’ve gained about 15 pounds this past year. But you know what? THAT’S OKAY! ⁣
⁣
Let’s make 2021 the year of loving yourself! ❤️ Your body has gotten you through almost an entire year of a pandemic. Gaining a little weight means NOTHING. ⁣
⁣
I feel like every year I make resolutions to lose weight or work out more. Every year I also always end up falling short of these goals. I also know I’m probably not the only one! ⁣
⁣
This year we need to be happy with the bodies we HAVE! Being healthy doesn’t have a size/weight limit. Love yourself, love your body, and everything else will fall into place! ⁣

I bought this tee a couple months ago and when deciding what to post today, I KNEW it had to be this. It’s been hard trying to put into words what seeing the Capitol stormed by terrorists feels like, but this is it.⁣
⁣
AOC and other Congressmen & women were trapped in a place that should’ve been one of the most heavily secure in the country. I feel like a lot of us are feeling lucky we haven’t had to experience that in our lives. ⁣
⁣
But this should’ve never happened. It can’t happen again. Not just that, but we now have members who have COVID because some of the Republican Congresspeople refused to wear masks. I am angry. You should be angry. ⁣
⁣
Something needs to change and it needs to change right now. Period. I thank our Congress for their courage and @aoc for always speaking out. ⁣I hope to be more like you!
