My Unique Haritage with Pantene

***This post is in paid partnership with Pantene. All words and opinions are my own!***

Hi friends! Today I am so excited to partner with Pantene and share more about My Unique Haritage as well as their Nutrient Blends Collection! I have been a lover of Pantene products since I was a tween. They were one of the only companies who made products that worked with my curls and I love that about them.

Curly hair is always a bit finicky when it comes to products, so I love that Pantene has formulas that work with all types of hair! In this post I’m going to talk more about growing up and learning to love my hair, as well as my tips on how to best use the Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection . This line does so much good for your hair and I can’t wait to share it with you!

My Unique Hairitage

I wanted to first start this post talking about my hairitage! Yes, that’s heritage for your hair. When I was growing up, I had really thick, kinkier curls. At one point it seriously looked like I had a mullet (see first pic below). My mom LOVED my curls, and they didn’t need a lot of work. All she really had to use was a detangler!

After I started getting older, I struggled with my hair a lot more. Between late elementary school and early middle school, I wore my hair in a soaking wet bun every day to school. It was pretty rough because I didn’t really have anyone in my life who knew what to do with my hair! The worst part was I often struggled finding a hairdresser to even cut curly hair.

Then I discovered….the straightener. The second photo below was from that era of haircare and was a dark period of time for me if we’re being honest. I fried away my curl pattern to oblivion and then in high school decided curly would be the way to go! This is when I started to use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and it really changed everything for me!

Moving into my college years, I decided to chop about 10 inches of hair off out of the blue. It ended up being the best thing I had ever decided to do, and I haven’t regretted it since! I grew it back out a bit last year, but my hair just looks better in a curly bob. I also have started to now discuss hair products with my sister too! We both love Pantene and our hair has actually brought us closer together now that we’re both adults.

Pantene Fortifying Damage Repair Shampoo with Castor Oil

Now since I have short 3b hair, I’m not supposed to shampoo it too often! All curly girls really shouldn’t shampoo their hair that often if we’re being honest. That said, when I DO shampoo my hair (usually twice a week), I really look for products that have no sulfates! Sulfates aren’t great for hair in general, so when I found out this fortifying damage repair shampoo from the Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection didn’t have any, I was sold!

Pantene Fortifying Damage Repair Conditioner with Castor Oil

Once I use my shampoo, I always follow it up with moisturizing conditioner. In general I try to look for products that help with frizz because somehow my hair is always a little frizzy. This conditioner from Pantene has castor oil infused in it, and also helps to prevent frizz! Both of these products together allow your hair to shine, and remain less frizzy than it might with other conditioners.

Pantene Castor Oil Overnight RepairSerum

The final product from the Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection  that I love is this Castor Oil Overnight Repair Serum! I am always trying to find products that I can leave in overnight that will help tame frizzy hair and this one is perfect. It also helps to repair damage overnight while you sleep, so there’s literally no work on your end. You get perfect hair while you catch some zzz’s!

Why I Think This Line is Perfect for All Hair Types

There aren’t enough products that work for all hair types, but this damage repair line from Pantene is one of the few that I believe will work for people with any hair type! There are a few ingredients that make this possible. Castor Oil is amazing because it is rich in Vitamin E! This means that it’s protective but also has smoothing properties. That’s one thing I know I’m always looking for!

These products also include Pro-Vitamin B5 which helps to nourish hair strands from the inside and out. This helps hair to grow stronger against damage! I like this aspect especially because I still use a diffuser for my hair. It’s not a lot of heat, but it still can give me heat damage and frizz! The last important ingredient is antioxidants. This will just help your hair handle environmental damage from items such as UV Rays or tobacco smoke!

I hope you guys loved this post about My Unique Hairitage with Pantene! As I mentioned above, it was honestly hard to find products for my hair growing up. That said, I really think Pantene has some of the best products for 3b hair and they have helped me embrace my curls so much! And you can shop it at Kroger here!
