What’s something TikTok made you want/buy?⁣
⁣
I saw a video where a girl pulled the filter of her air purifier out and it was DARK GREY. They start out white!!! When @honeywell reached out about sending me their new Insight Series air purifier, I was ecstatic.⁣
⁣
Especially because I have asthma and live in the city, I’m always looking for ways to purify the air in my home. Honeywell is the number one brand recommended by doctors so I know I can trust this air purifier to protect my environment. [ad]⁣
⁣
Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond to protect a loved one or someone in need this past year? ⁣
⁣
Honeywell wants to celebrate them and help protect their home environment by giving away a new HEPA InSight Series air purifier to one individual tagged. To nominate, do the below:⁣
⁣
1. Follow me + Like this post!⁣
⁣
2. Follow @honeywell!⁣
⁣
3. Comment/tag someone below who’s done something amazing for someone else this past year!⁣

Today is the beginning of #WomensHistoryMonth and Today is the beginning of #WomensHistoryMonth and I am so excited! ⁣
⁣
I wanted to start this month out by sharing WHY we still need a Women’s History Month. Although we have made really progressive overall as a society, there’s still so many things that need improvement. ⁣
⁣
1. 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨. Although people are becoming more progrsssive as a whole, we need to acknowledge the violence trans women (and trans people in general) experience every day.⁣
⁣
2. 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙮 82 𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 $1 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨. And for women of color it gets even more stark in contrast.⁣
⁣
3. 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 10% 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙀𝙊𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙎&𝙋 500 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣. After working in multiple corporate environments, I’ve noticed that there may be a little bit of diversity, but VERY few women (ESPECIALLY women of color).⁣
⁣
4. 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣. I feel like recently we’ve seen MASSIVE strides when it comes to gender and racial diversity in Congress, but we are still nowhere close to where we should be. ⁣
⁣
5. 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 50% 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙬-𝙬𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚. *cough* Hence the reason they are dying at more alarming rates from COVID than other races and genders.⁣
⁣
6. 𝘼𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚-𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚. Y’all. This statistic is WILD. We need to change this ASAP. ⁣
⁣
Although me sharing these stats may seem bleak, it honestly just shows how much women deal with and the fact that they STILL continue to kick ass. So for all my girls & theys, let’s keep being amazing and standing up for what is right! ⁣

I post for the girls who set the fire alarms off w I post for the girls who set the fire alarms off when they cook 👁👅👁!!!! ⁣
⁣
Tonight I was heating up sausage on the stove and my fire alarm started going off. I walked outside because I thought it was a drill (???) and it was JUST MY APARTMENT BEEPING. ⁣
⁣
Please make me feel better and tell me in the comments if you’ve set off the fire alarm before while cooking and what food it was that you were heating up. 🍕
Is anyone else completely unable to keep cash beca Is anyone else completely unable to keep cash because if they see anyone in need they will literally give it all away?⁣
⁣
I rarely have cash and when I do it’s like $20 bills. I will actually just hand a $20 to someone asking for help and not bat an eyelash. ⁣Its honestly why I can’t live in NYC.
⁣
My boyfriend is honestly the same way and it’s one of the reasons I love him! Do you do the same thing?
𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍.....and then it was only when my hair was straight. ⁣
⁣
Even now, I generally don’t feel like I am conventionally attractive. For a majority of my childhood, I was one of the only ones who looked like me. It was HARD. ⁣
⁣
I didn’t realize how much I wanted to “fit in” with the European beauty standards that I couldn’t seem to replicate until much later on in life.⁣
⁣
Obviously I have NOT experienced this as much as women who are darker skinned with potentially kinkier hair, and I acknowledge that privilege, but it was still really hard for me! ⁣
⁣
Today in my #BlackHistoryMonth series, I’m sharing the story of Sarah (Saartjie) Baartman and how she was treated due to her body type. #blackgirlmagic
