If you’re a newer blogger, you’re probably wondering how bloggers/influencers are able to get Instagram sponsorship with companies. If you’re looking for tips on how to become an instagram influencer and make money with it, you’ve come to the right place!
Whether you’ve been blogging for years or days, this post will show you the top 10 places for influencers to find campaign opportunities! I know some of us are only about our money (no shame), so the platforms I’ve listed also offer paid collaborations.
These influencer marketing platforms are one way how brands try to find instagram influencers without doing the hard work! They’re able to connect with influencers and bloggers through these platforms, negotiate rates (or products), and track the progress of the campaigns! It’s a win win for everyone involved.
Top 10 Places for Influencers to Find Campaign Opportunities
These ten influencer marketing platforms are some that I’ve personally used and/or are recommended by other bloggers! I am in quite a few Facebook groups with other influencers are these are some that are most mentioned and most recommend as well. I’ll link the sign-up page on the name of the site!
1. Aspire IQ (Formerly Revfluence):
Aspire IQ is the first influencer marketing platform that I wanted to talk about today. It’s my favorite platform because it’s super easy to use! This platform is great because they have both paid and un-paid collaborations, but you’re able to negotiate your rates! They give you a “suggested” rate for your engagement and following, but you can choose however high or low to go.
2. Clever
Clever is a platform I like because I’ve found they have higher paid collaborations. I haven’t had as much success with this platform, but I have done one campaign through them! I ended up getting paid before the terms stated which is always a win in my book. Clever campaigns often ask for amplifications though so make sure your Instagram is set up as a business account.
3. Sway
Sway is another platform that I frequent often. They generally only have paid campaigns (I have never seen unpaid campaigns on here), but A LOT of campaigns are mom related. If you’re reading this and you have kids, I highly suggest applying to Massive Sway! I have done a couple campaigns with them so far and communication is amazing as well as the pay.
4. Activate
Activate is another great platform! They have campaigns that are paid, unpaid, and some that are just amplifying other’s content on your social media platforms! This can be a great way to earn some quick cash on the side. With Activate you can also negotiate rates which is a great asset of this platform!
5. Heartbeat
Heartbeat was the first Influencer platform that I used. This a GREAT website for beginners and one that I think you should use to get some campaigns under your belt. I have an entire post on how to use this platform linked (here)! It will go through how to set up an account and walk you thought applying to campaigns as well.
6. Buzzoole
I have not personally gotten any campaigns though this platform yet, but I’ve heard that other bloggers use it often! They also offer paid and un-paid collaborations. My favorite part of this site is that it analyzes your social channels and tells you which are your largest categories! For me it’s Fashion, Lifestyle, and then Media. I think this little chart helps you pitch yourselves better to brands!
7. Influence.co
Influence.co is another great platform to use in order to get social media campaigns. I have used this to apply to a few campaigns and I ended up scoring a really cool one! Sadly I got sick the day of and couldn’t make the event though. This platform is great because it tells you if you qualify before you apply based off of your following and location! It’ll also tailor campaigns for your specific area (including overseas!!!).
8. Mavrck
Mavrck is a platform that I have’t used that often, but I’ve just started getting campaigns through them! They send emails with bullets outlining the campaign and whatever expectations they have for you during it. I really appreciate this factor because you can just go back in your email and find everything you need all in one place. This is especially great when I’m posting while at work (on break) because I don’t have to remember my log-in info for a site.
9. Brandbacker
Brandbacker is another site that I haven’t done a campaign with but have heard great things about. I know a lot of bloggers who use this site to get campaigns! This platform is great because they offer a lot of campaigns with companies you might not think of while trying to pitch. Once you go through their verification process, you’ll start getting opportunities in your inbox!
10. Cohley
Cohley is the last platform that you should check out when trying to find campaign opportunities. They have everything from fashion to home and garden! They are another platform with paid and unpaid collaborations, but they also break it down by the following. Some campaign are only paid if you have over a certain number which is something I think is a little wrong.
These are just a few of the MANY places influencers can find campaign opportunities. The best part about our industry is that in the last few years it has EXPLODED! Brands love working with bloggers/influencers and these campaign platforms just bring them all to one place. It makes it easier for everyone!
If you have never pitched to a brand before, I suggest starting with a platform. Half the time they’ll even prompt you and tell you what to say! As I stated earlier, I suggest starting with Heartbeat if you’re a smaller sized influencer. That’s where I began and it helped me work with brands like Better Skin Co., Sexy Hair, and even DryBar!
I have a bunch of other blogging related posts as well that outline everything I’ve learned along the way. Feel free to check out some of these other posts below! They’re really detailed and helpful and can hopefully help take your blog/Instagram to the next level too.
