I absolutely love Chicwish clothing items! They have such trendy styles that can work well in the spring and year round. Today I wanted to write a post about three ways to style this floral Chicwish set! It was the first set I ever wanted from the company for the springtime and I couldn’t love it more.
I’m all about florals (for spring of course, they’re groundbreaking) and this set was no exception. I was gifted this set in a size small and I think I should’ve sized up to a medium. It was just a tad small in the skort! That being said, it still looks great with so many different outfit options regardless!
I wanted to show you guys three different ways to style this set because I think it’s worth the investment! If you’re able to use a piece (or pieces) in more ways than one, it’s better for your wallet and the environment. Below you can see the three outfits that I’ve styled with this cute Chicwish set!
Three Ways to Style a Floral Set
1. Floral Chicwish Set + Gray Sock Booties
I wanted to first start with the set of this perfect outfit! I ADORE the pattern this comes in and I think it’s such a different style than some other floral items I’ve seen brands carry. The top is great because it has a high-neck and blouson type sleeves. It’s a very flattering style!
Another thing I like about it is that it is a thicker chiffon. Chiffon is PERFECT for warmer climates because it’s extremely breathable. The only issue is that it can sometimes be see-through. That’s not the case with this top at all! I’m only wearing a bra underneath and you can’t even tell.
The skort is also perfection because it has a ruffle at the waist! This was the piece of this set that I was most concerned about fitting me. When I gain weight it generally is in my thighs and stomach. This skort was a TAD small for my waist and I would’ve sized up from a small to a medium if I had known. That said, it’s still perfection!
When it comes to my shoes, I am so in love with these gray sock booties. I had been DYING to get my hands on a pair of the blush pink ones that were massively popular during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I ended up going with these which I found on Amazon for a fraction of the cost! They’re Sole Society and STILL a reasonable price.
My woven bag is from Amazon as well and it’s a trend I have been dying to work into spring. This one is lightweight and still sturdy! On the front it has a little round knob looking thing (you can definitely tell I’m good at writing from that description) and I think it gives it that little extra touch!
2. Floral Chicwish Top + White Wide Leg Pants
I LOVE everything about this look. I styled the top in this look and could not have been happier with the result. The top IS a bit cropped (which you can’t tell at all) and that can potentially make it hard to tuck in. That being said, this one did not give me that issue at all!
The culottes pant trend is one I am obsessed with. The only problem is that they are not in any way made for people with thick thighs. Mine aren’t even that large; however, compared to my waist they do not match. This pair of cropped jeans was a similar style, but I feel like they worked SO MUCH BETTER with my body.
I also jumped on the woven bag trend with this look as well. This is my go-to woven bag because it can fit so much! I used it for a pool photo shoot and I was able to fit my entire towel in it. I honestly had no idea it could accommodate so much. The hoop handles are another feature of this bag that I love!
My shoes are the most perfect shoes I’ve ever worn. Okay, yes that’s a little dramatic I don’t care. Not only are they comfortable, but they’re also SO CHIC. Can you believe that they’re from TOMS? I was gifted these beauties for a campaign and I was shocked that the classic little canvas shoes I used to be obsessed with now come in stunning sandals!
P.S. These sunnies are fantastic! They’re under $20 in a set of two and I think they’re designer dupes.
3. Floral Chicwish Skirt + Purple Ruffle Sleeve Blouse
This last look is my latest take on this set! I loved that the flowers in this design were lilac and pink because they’re such great colors for the springtime. My favorite part of this skort is that it’s also made of a lightweight chiffon. The shorts underneath are too and it’s still not see-through at all.
The blouse I chose for this outfit is one that I found at Old Navy a few weeks ago. I sadly couldn’t find it online, but I think it works SO WELL with this skort. My personal favorite part is the fact that it has ruffles on the sleeves. I can never get enough of ruffles so when I can combine tops and bottoms with them, I obviously do!
I think panama hats are a great way to accessorize any look. This one is the favorite that I own! Even though it’s the springtime, this hat transitions so well. It keeps the sun off of your face and neck which can prevent a sunburn! The reason I love it though is because it looks great with almost any look.
My shoes that I chose to add to this look play up the pink flowers in the skirt. they have GLITTER HEELS and are by Marc Fisher. These babies are long gone from stores, but when I found them at Nordstrom Rack for only $22 I knew I could not pass them up. I also happily let my Instagram followers peer pressure me into getting them.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I love seeing the various ways that I can style items in my closet. Being a fashion major, you learn about cost per wear and it’s a rude awakening sometimes! Re-fashioning and re-inventing the pieces you already have makes what money you spend worth it. It also helps save clothes from landfills!
