Hi friends! Today on the blog I wanted to share a fun holiday recipe. I came up with this a few weeks ago, and it turned out to be a massive (and delicious) success! This post will tell you How to Upgrade a Classic Blondie Recipe and then where to purchase some chic holiday cookie cutters. The classic blondie recipe I’m using was from the Trader Joe’s packaging!
Trader Joe’s has some of the best store brand items I have ever tasted and these are no exception! I love that it only requires a few additional ingredients than what’s included in the box, and they also taste amazing as well. When I was looking for chocolate chip blondie bars, I was lucky enough to stumble upon these! Now I will never go back.

Upgrading Your Blondies
The number one way to upgrade your blondies is by adding chocolate chips! These Trader Joe’s blondies came with chocolate chips already in them, but I went a step further. I love white chocolate in general. It’s my favorite kind! I got some white chocolate chips on my Trader Joe’s run and added those in before cooking!
You can add them into the overall batter before adding to the baking tin, or you can add them on the top before you put it in the oven. Either of these methods is fine, but both will give a great result! These are great for holiday parties with people who loveee sweets. There’s also no shame in baking these for yourself (like I did).
Holiday Dish Towels
Since I showcased that adorable holiday dish towel in my images, I also wanted to round up some other dish towels you might like! These are great for decorating your kitchen, using for baking, or for giving as gifts. It would be so cute to gift someone a DIY blondie kit with a dish towel and some cookie cutters!
My favorite places to purchase holiday dish towels (and dish towels in general) are Target, World Market, and TJ Maxx/Marshall’s! They all have affordable kitchen and dish towels that are also themed for whatever holiday is coming up. The one I have featured is from Target and was only $3.00! It worked amazingly well for these images, but also looks great in my kitchen too.

Holiday Cookie Cutters
One of the upgrades I made to these classic blondes was using holiday themed cookie cutters to cut cute shapes out of them! I knew I wanted to elevate them and give a Christmas theme to the whole set up. This was the perfect way to do so! I chose a Christmas tree cookie cutter, a reindeer cookie cutter, and a candy can cookie cutter.
I found these cookie cutters at World Market and KNEW they would be perfect! I have loved World Market since I was a kid. My aunt used to take my sister and I when we would go visit here in Florida every year. Now that I’m living in Atlanta, I have one right down the street! I also got a few cute dish towels there as well.
