Today’s Saturday post is sappy and about friendship but 10/10 would recommend!
After switching from Marketing to Fashion Merchandising/Apparel Design, I was a bit scared starting classes in an entire new college on my campus. My very first fashion class was Apparel I and our first class meeting was in the computer lab. I always arrived early to class but I ended up late because I took the bus.
There was an open seat left next to a girl with pink hair and I instantly knew I would relate to her. It’s weird, I always feel like I’ve been drawn to people who I’m supposed to be friends with and this was most definitely one of those cases. That pink haired girl I found out was named Amber (funny because people mistake us for each other’s names).
That was how it began and here we are two years and a Women’s March later. Amber is now one of my closest friends and all around one of the best people to be around. She’s extremely helpful to everyone around her and could never be mean even if she tried (and this is the truth).
Thank you for being my friend, my confidant, and my fashion inspiration. You have the best style and the best heart out of anyone I know and I’m really sad because I don’t know who I’ll turn to now when my professors say “get with a partner.” Congrats on graduating and I will miss you every day! Thank you for always being the Abbi to my Ilana (Broad City reference).
We also decided to do a photoshoot! We both laugh at how similar our styles always are so we matched colors and had the most fun shoot ever! When life gives you lemons, have a photoshoot with your BFF.
This was my favorite photoshoot especially because of all the lovely colors! I love how the white and yellow contrast with the teal. You can shop both of our looks on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page!
I know this wasn’t a normal post but it was really important to me and I thank y’all for reading!
Happy Graduation Amber! I know you’ll do amazing things.
